Quilts!!!

A few years back I was trying to decide what I wanted done with the girl's baby clothes and I heard about people making quilts out of baby clothes and I thought that that was something I wanted done. So I ask my Aunt Mary Carol if she would make a quilt out of the clothes. I had NO idea of what I wanted done, I left all the creativity (stress) to her :o) Well she did an AWESOME job!! She did each of the girls a quilt and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I couldn't be more happier with them! The butterflies and flower appliques have a piece of the girl's clothes inside! I was planning on keeping them for myself, but I just had to let the girls enjoy them too! So they each have their own on their bed. I now am thinking that I am going to make albums with the girls wearing the clothes that are on the quilt. All these pictures are taking on KA's bed.

Vacation Part 3: AL: Fishing...

Kerri Ann has been talking about going fishing for at least a year!! And one day while we were at Wal-Mart she saw a pink and purple fishing pole and said "this is what Poppa is going to buy me so he can take me fishing." So I called Poppa and told him that KA was expecting him to take her fishing. So Poppa went and bought both of the girls a Barbie fishing pole and then found a place that he could take them fishing. So on the Thursday before we were to leave to come home Poppa, KA, Em, Mommy, and Daddy went fishing! It was hot, but I think we all had a great time. We caught LOTS of throw backs and about 11 keepers. KA had the biggest one of the day and Poppa caught the most keepers.

KA ready to start fishing!

Sweet picture.

Emily's first keeper. She actually
did throw one back in, but that was
the only time that she touched the fish.
And neither girl put a cricket on the line.
I really didn't wait to put the cricket on, but
finally had to, the fish were taking them so quickly
and Poppa and Daddy could only do so much!

Another sweet pic. of Daddy and KA!

Emily and another keeper.

Poppa's first catch of the day!

Em only had 2 keepers, so I am
not sure if this was a keeper or the
one of her and the fish before :o)

KA and her first fish. It took her
a while to catch a keeper.

KA with the only bass and the biggest
fish of the day!

Vacation Part 2: Alabama

While visiting with Nana and Poppa the girls got to go swimming. The had a lot of fun, the water was just a little too cold for me!

Kerri Ann and Poppa. Poppa is always good about getting
in the pool with the girls. They love it!

Being silly with Daddy.

While in T-town the girls got their haircut!

Kerri Ann liked her haircut, she said that it was a big girl cut! Em was not quite as excited. She likes her hair REALLY long, the only problem is that when it is really long it looks messy all the time.

Both ready to go to Nana and Poppa's church. Same
day they got their haircut.

Vacation Part 1: Georgia

For vacation we went to GA and AL to visit family. While we were in GA we went to the Atlanta Aquarium, I have been wanting to go for a long time and we finally were able to go. It was very crowded, but we had fun. Aunt Kim and Gran Gran went with us. Also while in GA we helped Gran Gran and Kim do some things around Gran Gran's house. We had a great visit.

Entrance to the aquarium.

I guess this is the mascot for the aquarium.

They had a kid play area, only Emily would venture
out and play.

In the tunnel.

Looking at the fish above them.

Simulated wave rolling over us. This area was my
favorite. I could have stayed here all day.

She is probably watching a wave.

Emily's favorite fish.

Leaving the aquarium.

We got to play on Granddaddy's 4 wheeler while checking
to see if it was in good running condition. The girls had
so much fun, this was their first time on a 4 wheeler.

Fourth of July

On the 4th of July we did a little packing. The girls helped us too.

Packing up their movies.

Still packing.

I went and bought them these shirts so they could be
patriotic. Aren't they cute!

The girls decorated the trees!

This is KA's bird! I thought that this was very creative.
The pink gloves are the eyes, the green in the middle is the
beak, the orange and blue shovels are wings and the green
at the bottom are feet!

New House Pictures...

We moved into our new house on July 9, 2009. I am WAY behind in blogging and I had to get a NEW blog! I had pictures of the house on the old blog, but it was with the old owners furniture and not ours. So now that we have ours in, here are some more pics (minus pictures on the walls).....

The dining room is Scott's office space. View from

Emily's room (as if you couldn't guess!)

Today Scott put up the canopy that she got
from Aunt April and Uncle Drew a few years
ago for Christmas. The canopy hasn't been able
to be up since we left Mobile, so the girls were
both excited that Scott put them up!

here! We put overhead lighting in all the bedrooms
once we moved in and had a new AC unit put in.

and our Christmas things, minus the tree.

Laundry room, I saw this idea for the baskets in another
house that we looked at and had to do it myself. I love
having everything hidden!
Scott has hung pictures in the Den, Kitchen, Guest Bathroom, and Office so far. We have done a lot of work in the backyard too.
