More Birthday...

We really didn't do anything special for KA on her actual birthday. We did go to church. I took a few pictures...

Big 6 year old!!

The Monday after Kerri Ann's birthday, I made some cookies for KA's class for lunch. Nana and I took them to her at lunch to share with her friends. She also was having catered lunch (the school doesn't have a lunchroom, but a few days of the week parent's can order from select take out restaurants) that day from Chick-Fil-A.

Being silly.

Kerri Ann's Birthday Party

For Kerri Ann's 6th birthday we had a small but fun party at home. She invited one little girl from school and 2 from church. The party was on Friday, November 6th at 3:30 pm. Since my girls get out of school early on Fridays, I thought it would be a good time. Julianna, KA's bff from school, rode home with us and the other 2 came around 3:30. When everyone had gotten there I had them sit at the table and use fabric markers to paint a TinkerBell Pillowcase (TinkerBell was the party theme, 3rd year in a row!). Emily got to hang out for a little while, but she had to "blend into the background" (KA will have to do the same for Em's b'day). Nana and Poppa came up for a visit and party with us too. Nana helped me, while Poppa went with Daddy and Emily out for Em's fun time.

KA and Julianna.

Award's Day

Nov. 4th, was Award's Day at the school. They only give out awards based on GPA, Honor's Ribbon (Red) for 3.35 - 3.74 and Highest Honor's For 3.75 - 4.0 (blue).

Emily receive Highest Honor's. She worked
really hard for this ribbon!! In the chapel.

After chapel her class had recess/snack. So
I took a couple more pictures.

Congratulations Emily!

Field Trip

On Nov. 3rd, Emily's 3rd grade class went to the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. I drove some of the children. They had a great time. The first thing that the kids did was to go inot the classroom and learn about Simple Machines, this is what they were studying in Science. Then they went to watch a movie about people that were in the Hall of Fame, then, upstairs to the basketball gym, then onto the pitching/soccer/football area, then to the racecar area, and lastly to the workout area. It was a good day.

In the classroom learning about simple machines.
Em is on the 2nd row at the end.

Being a screw.

Being a wedge.

Being a wheel and axle.

Reading online newspaper articles.

Love this shot! She didn't make it, but she got
close, esp. considering her height!

Pitching the baseball.

Kicking the soccer ball.

Just not quite big enough to move it :o)

Trying to throw the ball into the whole.

Working out on the elliptical, I had to help her!

On the bike, her friends were helping her pedal,
she wasn't big enough to get both feet on both
pedals.

KA lost another tooth!!!

Tonight we were having family night and watched the movie, Barbie and the Three Musketeers. After the movie was over Kerri Ann was turning a cartwheel, like they do in the movie, and she hit her mouth on her knee. Her tooth was already loose (but it was not ready to come out yet), but after she hit it she said that it was hurting. I looked at it and sure enough it was bleeding a little and hanging so I pulled it. She was a little afraid seeing the blood, it didn't bleed all that much with the last tooth. So, I guess the tooth fairy will be coming to visit us tonight! And tomorrow we are having family pictures made!! But her permanent tooth is already there and so she is really not much of a snaggle tooth.

Fall Festival and Trick-or-Treating

We had a very busy Halloween! The morning started off with a Walk-a-Thon to raise money for the girls' school (I didn't remember to take my camera.). We walked the circle for an hour, the girls made it for about 40/45 mins! Then we came home for lunch and to rest a little for the Fall Festival at the church. The girls had a great time. It rained on and off while we were at the Fall Festival, but it was more of a drizzle and it didn't really dampen our's or other's spirits!

Sleeping Beauty and Little Mermaid ready to go!

Getting ready to play a game. Gotta love the
red hair :o)

Photo op!

Emily, Reagan, and Kerri Ann, good friends!

Hayride!

Kerri Ann making dirt, but all she wanted was
the pudding!

"Bowling"

Emily "bowling"

Because of the rain, we got to see a rainbow! And you could see the whole rainbow!
I just wish I could have gotten a picture of the whole thing.

Emily, Reagan, and KA again.
After we left the Fall Festival, we went to Outback for dinner.

KA wanted steak :o)

Emmy got a hamburger, but she did try her
sister's steak and liked it.
After we ate we went home and went trick-or-treating. I couldn't get any good pictures, they just turned out blurry. This is the first neighborhood that we have lived in that actually had people come trick or treat (other neighborhoods everone would go to another bigger neighborhood, we were the bigger neighborhood!)! The girls and I went around the neighborhood and Scott sat out at the end of the driveway handing out the candy. It was so much fun! When we got back we all sat in the driveway and the girls got to hand out candy.
It was a long, but fun day!! And because of the time change the girls were in bed by 7:30!!! And Scott and I by 9:30!!
