Emily's Puppet Show and Class party

Since the beginning of the school year, Emily's class has been reading Charlotte's Web. To end the book each student wrote a play and performed it for their classmates and parents. They also got to watch the movie. It just so happened that they had gotten all of their marbles (class behavior management) and so they had their marble party too. So this day was a fun day with lots of fun crafts, food and movie. They were also allowed to wear their Summit T-shirts instead of their regular uniform shirts.

Emily introducing her play.

She is performing her play. They were using
stick puppets. Not a great picture.

After all plays were done.

Her characters were Charlotte and Fern. Fern
wanted Charlotte to teach her how to make a
web.

Eating pizza.

They used modeling clay to make pigs.

Em's pig and she made a trough.
She had a fun day! I stayed for most of the day. While Em was eating pizza I went to the lunchroom to spend a little time with Kerri Ann. After I had been there for a few minutes she looked at me and asked if I could go now. I just had to laugh, I sent her off to Kindergarten and she can already do without me! LOL!!! I was teasing her about it in the car on our way home and she said, but I had wanted you to come back! She is so funny!

Happy Birthday to Scott....

I am a few weeks behind in blog world. Scott's b'day was on the 21st, this year it fell on a Wednesday, so we really didn't see Daddy on his b'day. We didn't go to church that night, KA had been sick with Strep Throat and so we celebrate his b'day the weekend after his birthday.

Presents and cake ready and waiting.

Girls bringing Daddy in to see.

Gift from Mommy. Hugo Cologne, I bought some
for him for Christmas the year that we were dating
and he ran out this summer. So he wanted more.

Reading his cards.

The girls really didn't get to pick out anything for him
like they normally do. He had wanted an exercise
ball and ankle weights to help him with his back exercises.
So, that is what "they" gave him. :o)
We went to Smokey Bones to eat lunch. All in all it was a great day!

Boo'd and Birthday....

Last week the girls received some packages from the Stoots Family....

They had been BOO'd.... and had lots of little
treats.

They were excited and had fun. Emily said that
next year we needed to remember to BOO them
before they BOO us!

There was also a package just for Emily...

HSM3, this is for her b'day. Yes, it is late, but I
don't fault Jolene. I haven't gotten Myles his
b'day present yet either. It can be a hassle to
have to mail things, but it is a fun way to keep
in touch with GREAT friends! Thanks Jolene,
Kevin, Myles and Connor!!

Kerri Ann's lost her 1st tooth!!!!

I have several posts that need to be blogged about that should be before this one as far as date goes, but this one is the most important! Kerri Ann lost her 1st baby tooth tonight. On Monday night Daddy was trying to get it to come out using dental floss, but it just wasn't ready. Tonight all I did was put my fingers in and she pulled her head away and left the tooth in my hand! We tried to call Nana, Gran Gran, and Uncle Drew and Aunt April to share our excitement with and they didn't answer. But Aunt Kim came to the rescue and answered and KA was so excited to share the news with Aunt Kim!!

Monday night with the dental floss.

More dental floss.

Tonight after we pulled it. Her permanent tooth
is right there, so she is not really snaggle tooth!
The other bottom tooth is loose and the permanent
one has already come through too!

She is so excited! I just hope that the Tooth
Fairy doesn't forget to come!!

Queen Elizabeth Scrapbook...

We got Em's Scrapbook back and so I took a picture of each page. You can click on the picture to enlarge and you should be able to read the caption on each picture. I think that she did an awesome job on this project!

Queen Elizabeth

Emily's Reading project for the 1st quarter of school was to make a Biography Scrapbook. She chose Queen Elizabeth. She read the book, then she and Scott wrote down the 10 facts that were going to be illustrated in the scrapbook. She chose the facts with very little help from Scott, then I typed up the facts on the computer. She had to draw the "photos." She did a FANTASTIC job on this project. I did not take a photo of the scrapbook! But I will when we get it back, it will stay in the class library for some time. The students also had to present their scrapbooks to the class (and any parents that wanted to come). She was the first one picked to go. Again she did fantastic. The students could get extra credit for dressing up, she choose to wear a crown.

Reading a few of her favorite pages.

Showing the pictures.

You can kind of get an idea of how we did the
scrapbook from this photo.

And I just had to add a cute pic of KA in pigtails :0)
